Our Mission
The Fiorello H. LaGuardia
Foundation (LGF) is a non-profit organization
whose mission is to perpetuate the work of Fiorello H. LaGuardia as an
internationalist and advocate of humanitarian globalism. LaGuardia's
lifelong commitment has provided the inspiration for the Foundation to
strengthen ties between Italy and New York to promote a global approach
to equitable economic and social development.
Our Focus
The LaGuardia Foundation aims to provide:
- US-Italian investment in community-based sustainable
development
projects;
- US investment in southern Italy in areas of
sustainable agriculture,
biotechnology, and renewable energy;
- Academic exchange between Italy and the US with an
emphasis on
biotechnology, agriculture, and medicine.
We are actively evaluating opportunities for interventions in southern
Italy and for academic exchanges. Comments and suggestions are welcomed.
